RSVP and Attendance Policies

Our group allows for only Yes or No RSVPs for our events. Why? It makes it a lot easier on our organizers if they have a definite count of who is coming to an event, it lets us know which types of events are popular with our members, and it helps us keep everyone safe on our paddles. It also helps us get events started on time without waiting for people who may or may not show up. Most of our events allow RSVP changes up to and including the day of the event, so if you are not sure if you can make it until closer to the event you still have plenty of time to RSVP. Any events that have a cut off date for events prior to the event date itself will be clearly marked. We do ask that if you are unable to make an event that you RSVPed Yes for that you change it as soon as possible prior to the event. Your organizers appreciate it! :)

While we do understand that life can throw unexpected curve balls at you once in a while, we do have a '3 strikes' No Show policy. If a member has more than 3 No Shows within a 6 month period, they will be removed from the group. Remember that your RSVP can be changed up until the morning of the event, and organizers will check the RSVP list before leaving for a paddle. If you need to change your RSVP, please do so as soon as possible to avoid being marked as a No Show.

We also ask that members attend at least one event every 6 months. We plan quite a few paddles every month, and there are events for all skill levels.
