We are a very easy going group, but we do have a few simple rules we ask our members to follow when attending events.
1. Please be on time. The time listed for the event is the LAUNCH time, not the arrival time. We make every effort to launch on schedule, and ask that you try to arrive at our meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to our event time. This will give us time to help you unload your boat and gear and get everyone together for our pre-launch briefing so that we can get on the water as soon as possible. If an organizer posts a contact phone number for an event, please be sure to have it on you so you can contact them if you are running late. We don't mind waiting as long as we know you are on your way!
2. Please be courteous. We don't expect everyone to be best buds for life, but we do expect everyone to treat other members with kindness and respect. Harassment of any type will not be tolerated. If you are having problems with another group member and are unable to work it out with them, please contact one of your organizers and we'll do all we can to help you resolve the situation.
3. Please read the Paddle Levels information and attend only events within your skill level. We definitely don't want to see anyone injured or turned off of kayaking because of a bad experience at an event. If you have any question about whether your skill level is appropriate for an event, please contact the organizer for that event. They will be more than happy to discuss it with you!
4. Please follow the directions of your organizer. We do our best to make all paddles safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please follow any rules or directions laid out by the organizer at our pre-launch briefing.
5. Carry In, Carry Out! Please respect the environment, we want it to be there for us in the future!
The time listed on the event page is the LAUNCH time. Please arrive promptly and allow time for unloading and boat prep. There will be a short pre-lauch briefing before most events that you MUST be present for.
