Subject: [DVK] Mantua Creek Paddle
Mantua Creek - Paulsboro Access
Supposed to be 50 on Sunday but we might encounter some rain. This is an easy paddle, but a wetsuit or drysuit is required. High tide is at around 9:30; Low tide is at around 3:30.
Meet at the Paulsboro Access 9:30 a.m. which is high tide. Let's be on the water by 10 a.m. I figure we paddle upstream for an hour or so and then head back with the current (if I have this figured right...). We should be back by 1 p.m., give or take.
I have *never* put in at this point, and I do not feel comfortable leading the actual paddle for that reason. So hopefully, someone (James!) will come along who knows the way. I do know that Mantua Creek is delicious. biggrin
Light rain won't cause us to cancel, but if it's going to be heavy rain or miserable, we'll bail. You'll hear from me via meetup by 7 a.m. that day if the event is cancelled. Otherwise, plan on a relaxing paddle!
