If anyone is sincere about improving their paddling skills and being part of the greater paddling community I highly recommend attending these symposia/festivals. You meet some of the geatest kayakers in the world (many from the UK) as well as other paddlers. This is undoubtedly the closest festival to South Jersey. The instructors really make you work, but the rewards are worth it!
You must be signed in to post a Greeting.
"One of my "home waters" is Great Egg Harbor Bay. I launch from JFKennedy Park in Somers Point which gives access to so many great potential trips, depending on skills of the paddlers, tide, wind and sea state...."
"Hi Mike - I usually get there around 9 am. There is no set time of arrival, since we're all just hanging out on the beach or on the water. Low tide is forecast for 11 am. Should be a good day...."
"I'll be kayak surfing at Sea Isle this Sunday between 18th and 19th Street Beaches if anyone wants to join us Helmets and pfds necessary. WW kayaks and dedicated surf-kayaks with cockpits are welcome if you HAVE A ROLL...."
"Hey Maggie - Sometimes Mondays are possibilities for surf kayaking. I'll make sure I post any future trips. The beach is empty enough to find our little group anytime. I agree with Boy - helmets for sure! Steve Fries"
"I am truly drooling........But my budget is officially closed, for now, against anymore kayaks! One can always dream, however. Steve Fries"
