  •  Hey Bait! Let me know if you want to come out and show your guns for dragon boating. We now have a meet up group: http://www.meetup.com/SchuylkillDrago... Our recruitment drive is next week, but you can come with me to practice anytime you like and give us a try. I think you would be awesome. Good luck training for She Rox. My team has several women training for that event! We dig yuz!

  •  Thank You Bait! I just posted Don and told him how much I enjoy paddling with you guys but side jobs and coaching have limited me but hope to do more paddles with DVK this spring and summer. They should be having a very good one tonite in Malaga.

  •  Missed you at the HDP in Malaga. I had a good time there, could have done a little better going upstream with a smaller paddle though. Still trying to remember names and faces too, seemed like a good turnout.

  •  Yeah I wound up getting the 120 instead of waiting for the 140. The 120 on sale at EMS was a lot cheaper too $660 with the sale they had.
So far been to Alcyon Lake in pitman and today just got back from Parvin. I went up and back twice. I might not be able to make wed, I forgot that there is a classic car show at Pal Joeys and we'll be open til like 8pm.

  •  I am sure Roscoe is quite dense and may be difficult to rescue from the water. I hesitate with taking Homer, as he is very independent and may not be willing to sit in my front hatch very long. I went on an upper Delaware River trip with my club, JSSKA, this past fall. One guy took his little dog. He rode in the open cockpit with him and had no pfd. I was nervous, when we hit some gnarly spots in the river where capsize was a possibility. Wouldn't jeopardize my dog like that! STeve

  •  HI Lauren - I have a Boston terrier who loves the water, but have never taken him kayaking. I am going to get him a pfd and try him out on my creek this summer. Steve

  •  Hope to see you soon, Lauren. I got a rare early day today and was all set for Assunpink Lake, but the weather had other plans. Steve

  •  Hi Lauren - Thanks on behalf of Ted, the dog in my profile. He was some breeder's throw-away and was dumped at a local shelter. He is a great dog (inside and out). Can't believe someone got rid of him. He is also a giant for his breed (89 pounds) and a total mush. I have 3 other rescued dogs...but Ted was the only one who wasn't camera shy the day I took the photo.

  •  Thanks for the message Lauren! I look forward to meeting you soon.

  •  Welcome to The MD.DC.VA Hiking Group and I hope to see you on the trail soon! We hike every Saturday, some Sundays, and also have 3-5 walks during the week, so hopefully something on the calendar will work out for you. Come as little or often as you like as there is no pressure and we are very laid back:)
