"Cohansey River - several options; tidal below Bridgeton or freshwater up thru raceway to Sunset Lake Alloway Creek - launch in Quinton on flood tide, paddle to Alloway Lake & back...."
"It is an easier run than anything upstream. However, watch out for the set of rapids just downstream of the bridge in JT - they are the hardest on the stretch, and there is a monster rock right in the center that loves eating boats."
"Re Oswego Lake, you can paddle upstream a fair ways... current never really gets that strong. Makes a nice day trip."
"You DO need a launch permit OR a fishing license to use Round Valley Reservoir."
"Looks like quite a crowd... any hassle with the rangers? I've been run off for "being in the water" when giving instructions there recently. amf"
"I had similar results in a 17' scirocco... no matter how much I tried, just could not break the 6 mph barrier. mike f"
"If its runnable, its gonna be whitewater. You could try the section above the park for something a little calmer."
"Its harder than you think... it really helps to be up off the water when crabbing. Clamming is the thing to do (Indian River bay is great for this in the Lewes area)...."
"If you wanted to go all the way to B'ton, you could set up a shuttle & leave a car in the lot by the boat ramp off Rt 49. Alternatively, there is a putin on the Fairfield side but I'm not sure how much of a paddle that would give you."
