Introduction

Hi I'm Hilde I work the weekends and it was hard to find people to kayak with on Thursday and Friday. But now I see that you do kayak on those these so that would be great to join. Let me know about upcoming trips. Thanks Hilde

What types of water do you like to paddle? (flatwater, rivers, open water, whitewater, etc)

I haven't had much experience with open ocean although I would like to experience that. Rivers, flat water.

What skill level are you? (beginner, intermediate, advanced)

I would say an intermediate, but don't have a lot of reference to go by.

Do you own your own boat(s), and if so what types?

I have 4 different kayaks. A Necky 15 foot sea kayak, a liquid logic 12 foot kayak and two sit on top kayaks one is approximately 12 foot and the other is more like 15 foot.

When are you normally free to paddle?

Thursdays and Fridays.

Hi Hilde, i was kinda disappointed with the kayak times. i guess i thought that the kayaking was done during the day on weekdays. not interested in evenings. looking for daytime kayaking

Hi Hilde, We're in florida away from the winter!I've been kayaking here mostly on bay and enjoying the scenery. I'm looking forward to a new kayaking adventure with you in the spring!!

well one question i have - has any one set up a sea anchor/ doge - simple removable deployment system? i also see that all you guys seem to have electric bilge pumps - wow... is that because your water is pretty cold and you want out of it fast or just to save pumping>?

yes - Auckland Newzealand, i found you guys via meet up - as i am and organiser for three groups. I had thought of setting up a kayak meetup, but i have had a zero response from all my local advertising for week day paddlers, also i cant afford to take out another subscription to meetup.... so i thought at the least i could talk to some paddlers lol

Had a great time Friday night, you know how to ramp up the excitement for a first time night float.
I do want to come out Thursday, I need to play it by ear depending on my schedule next week.
