Introduction

I'm an academic and trying to spend more time outdoors. I'm new to kayaking and just had my tandem inflatable delivered today. Will be trying it out on Lake Aeroflex.

What types of water do you like to paddle? (flatwater, rivers, open water, whitewater, etc)

I think I am probably a flatwater, river kind of paddler at this point. Someday I'd like to go out on the ocean. I'd also like to do kayak fishing at some point. Well, maybe on Sat. or Sun. But I think I'd be getting ahead of myself.

What skill level are you? (beginner, intermediate, advanced)

Beginner

Do you own your own boat(s), and if so what types?

"Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame ConvertibleInflatable Kayak" It's a tandem inflatable and just arrived today.

When are you normally free to paddle?

I am free on weekends and have a three day work/grad school, schedule during the year, Mon. thru Thurs. during summer school (5 weeks in June-July).

OK, thanks. Then I have to think about it. Although I think it's a great idea, not sure I want to get into it that much at this point. Since I can't say maybe and I'm not sure, I'm going to say no but might change it, ok?
