Come out and Join us on the Rancocas Creek! We are going to paddle from the Pemberton to Smithville. This paddle is 6.7 miles long and we will not have to portage at all on this portion of the creek. I will suggest bringing snack. Due to this time of year I am not confident we will find a dry place to stop and eat lunch.
It is Important to be at Smithville by 10am so we can set up a shuttle. We would like to be on the water no later than 11am.

This is an easy paddle suitable for all skill levels and boat sizes (everything from a 9' (or smaller) boat through a 17'(or larger) boat). Since this is a winter paddle, proper cold-water gear (wet suit or dry suit, and a PFD) is required.

Meet at Smithville at 10am Sharp
Shuttle to Pemberton and launch by 11am
Bring Snacks and water we may not have somewhere to stop and eat.

Also the link below is a better option for directions.

If the paddle is cancelled due to thunder, ice, or high winds the cancellation notice will be posted by 7am the morning of the paddle.

Jason can be contacted the day of the paddle at [masked] for directions or any other reason.

We are meeting at Smithville Park, shuttling boats up to Pemberton (Hanover St), paddle/float downstream to Smithville where most people's cars will be waiting for them. To get to Smithville Park, take rt. 38 east to Smithville Rd, go down about 3/4 of a mile and make a left onto River St. (turn is immediately before the bridge, brown side on the right with icons for fishing/hiking/canoeing), follow straight to get to the meeting area(take-out).

We are looking good for tomorrow, we are putting in at the dam (downstream side) in Pemberton (Hanover St). The dirt road to the dam/launch is mostly plowed, and there is room for a few cars to park down there. There is a bit of snow on the hill down to the launch, but I don't think it will be a problem. Snow is safer to walk on then ice, so I did not disturb it.

Don B. Thanks for the offer. We will take the PFD and the paddle. Yesterday we bought a Perception acadia scout at EMS in Paramous NJ.

Someone needs to invent a lightweight batter powered, waterproof 'Saws-All".....lots of lumber limbo! My favorite sport...............NOT. Beautiful day, great company, as usual.

A great trip with great weather and great people!
    •  This was a great paddle, where I got to make a new friend, Jeremy. He was awesome, and it was obvious that apple didn't fall far from the tree. Thanks again for organizing this Jason.
