We had such a good time with this last time, let's do it again!
We'll meet at Riverwinds at 6pm and launch shortly after. We'll paddle up Woodbury Creek to Cattails Bar & Grill in National Park, NJ for dinner and drinks. This will be an easy paddle for all levels of paddlers, but PFDs and boat lights will be required as we will be going a short distance on the Delaware River. The Coast Guard does require boats on the river after dark to have lights.
We will stop for refreshments/food at Cattails and paddle back to the put in at Riverwinds. Please come out and join us for a pleasant evening.
At Cattails, we will be tying the boats up at the dock, so a length of rope to secure your boat is highly recommended.
“ Another beautiful day on the water. We caught great weather, incredible sunset and had almost a full moon for the return. Friendliest group there is either on the water or on land. ”
“ This is quickly becoming one of my favorite paddles! We were a bit leery starting out because of the wind, but since it was blowing in towards shore, it was not a problem. Once we hit the creek and had the wind and the tide both in our favor, it was a quick float up to Cattails. The folks there were wonderfully accommodating as usual, and we had a lovely meal before clambering back into the boats and paddling down the now-calm creek back to Riverwinds. It was a treat to meet some new faces, and get a chance to catch up with old friends. ”
“ The water was a bit rough heading out, but everyone stayed upright. Meet some new people and there were the normal cast of characters. Beautiful trip back. The water was nice and the wind died down. Didn't want to get off the water. ”
“ It was a little windy on the way there, but the paddle back was calm and absolutely beautiful. I couldn't believe I was on the same piece of water. What a great time. ”
