It's time to howl at the moon again! This Friday come kick off Labor Day Weekend with us at scenic Parvin Lake. We'll meet at Fisherman's Landing at 7pm and paddle out to enjoy the sunset before we watch the moon rise. We will be out after dark, so lights for your boat (glowsticks or flashlights work well!) are recommended. A head lamp for loading up when we finish is also very useful!

Boat rentals may be available from Al & Sam's, I'll let you know when I hear back.

It was so dark the trip back out of muddy run was a bit scary! My eyes were straining to see any boat lights around every bend! It was so much fun and we had a great time.

    •  Could have used a little more MOON, but otherwise a very nice night with great group of people!

Although the moon hid behind the clouds until we pulled out, we had a gorgeous evening on the lake. The air was still and scented with campfire smoke, and we enjoyed a leisurely paddle up Muddy Run before returning to float on the lake and chat. Thanks to all who attended!

It was nice to be out on the water, especially with a group of people. Unfortunately the moon was hidden by clouds-which seemed to dissipate by the time I got home- But all in all it was a great paddle-I look forward to more and meeting more great people from DVK.

Another beautiful night paddle, the moon didn't want to come out but the darkness made going up the river really interesting. Big thanks to Anthony for leading the way!

A very peaceful, climate controlled night, only...no moon! Darn those clouds!!!
    •  Great group of people, loved the paddling and help I received as a beginner paddler.

Another great night. We didn't get to see the moon too much because of the cloud cover. But the paddle was amazing and the peeps were amazing again. Scott heard an owl! I got to paddle Jason's Tsunami 165 for a little bit. I loved paddling back in the creek when it was totally dark. Felt like Blair Witch Project or something. Just waiting to see the Jersey Devil. This group is a seriously great group. There is no better group in the universe. GREAT meet up!

The night was perfect. Lake was like a mirror. Haplo was happy. We went way up the run expecting a full moon to light our way back....but the moon never appeared. Wow, was it dark. Won't do that again at night unless the moon is shining!! A large fish breached the water twice alongside my boat...think it was a freshwater barracuda. Great group, Great Paddle. Thanks Meri and Happy Birthday Jim ;)
